Judgment Day: Prize or Punishment?
As Above, So Below
Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The Truth (God’s Word) tells us that He is coming back to render judgment on earth. According to world statistics, about 2.1 Billion people on earth profess themselves to be “Christians”. On judgment day, many people will be expecting to go to heaven. Believers already know that non-believers cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven. But what many people don’t realize (because they refuse to or don’t take the time to study what the Truth really says) is that there will be many self-professed “good Christian people” expecting to go to heaven who will not enter heaven. There are many “good people” in the world who, on the outward appearance, may seem to exhibit the fruits of the spirit. But God doesn’t look on the outward appearance. God looks on a person’s heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
The people descibed in Matthew 7 below will have known Christ and believed in Christ. Through lack of knowledge or ignorance these people may have even thought to have “converted” people to Christianity by telling them that all they have to do is believe in Christ and they will be saved, thus inadvertently perpetuating the lie. They had a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. To know who Christ is and to believe in Christ is not enough to be saved. God tells us that the devil also believes and knows who Christ is. But we all know that the Devil will not be saved from damnation. The Truth says that salvation requires more than just belief. We must know and continue in the Truth to be God’s disciple.
James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Acts 19:15
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Mark 1:32-34
And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and sufferer not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
John 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The Truth tells us that God’s people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Romans 10:2
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Romans 10:2

The people described in Matthew 7 below will have prophesied in the name of Christ. These people will have cast out devils in his name. These people will have done many wonderful works in the name of Christ. They would have obeyed only one of God’s commands “whatsoever ye do in word and deed do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” (But what about obeying the rest of what the Bible says?) They will not have obeyed the whole Truth. To know and do part of the Truth or even half of the Truth is not enough.
Matthew 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
On judgment day, God will tell them to depart from “me, you workers of iniquity.”
Matthew 7
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Just because someone is doing a lot of great works in the name of Christ does not mean they are doing the will of God.
The Devil is constantly bombarding people’s minds and hearts with lies and deceptions to the point that they may begin to believe the lie unless they fight the Devil with the sword of the Spirit, the Truth, the Word of God. We must know the Truth (God's Word) to have the sword of the Spirit and to fight the Devil. People may try to convince themselves that they will go to heaven because they are “good” people. They tell themselves, “We don’t drink, we don’t smoke, we don’t have vices.” We even do alot of great works in the name of God. The Devil is deceiving a lot of people to believe that they are “good” people and will to go to heaven. When in fact, the Devil knows that those people are destined to join him in eternal damnation because they don’t take the time to know the Truth and what the Truth really says. And they don't have the love of the Truth. The Truth is that the Devil is a liar and the father of lies.
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The Truth (God’s Word) tells us that there is not one person on earth that is good. Even people who go to church every day are not good enough or righteous enough in God’s eyes. The Truth also tells us that man’s righteousness is like filthy rags to God. If we believe God and believe His Word, then we know these things to be true.
Romans 3:12
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Matthew 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

If we would take the time to honestly seek God’s Truth we would see and know these things. But the simple fact is that we don’t take the time to seek God. Or maybe we seek guidance through, familiar spirits like other books or people, which are not the true and inspired Word of God. Why give place to the devil by reading about other people’s philosophies that deceive or mislead away from the Truth. We know that God is the only one that is True. Only the Truth (God’s Word) is inspired by God.
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Ephesians 4:27
Neither give place to the devil.
Many people, even self-professed Christians, would rather listen to and believe the Devil’s lies and deceptions instead of reading, studying, and doing the Truth (God’s Word). The people mentioned in Matthew 7 on the previous page were righteous in their own eyes. But they were not righteous in God’s eyes. They tried to establish their own righteousness instead of seeking God’s righteousness. Because of pride, some "good Christian people" may refuse to believe and obey what God's Word really says. But what is the Truth? God's Word is the Truth.
Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
The people who will be saved are those who have submitted themselves unto God’s righteousness which is His Truth (i.e. being saved according to what the Truth says you have to do instead of what man’s doctrine tells you.). The people who are saved according to the Truth will not have their own righteousness but will have the righteousness of God.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

God’s Word tells us that the Devil is deceiving many people. The Devil tells people not to worry and just do what everyone else is doing. The Devil continues his deceit by telling the people that “all these people can’t be wrong” and that “most people will be saved.” The Devil tells people just what they want to hear, “you’re not a bad person, you’re okay, don’t worry about it, only bad people will go to hell.” The Truth of the matter is that the devil is deceiving the whole world. From Matthew 7, we are clearly shown by God that many supposedly "good self-professed Christian people” will not go to heaven. They may tell themselves that they aren't being deceived. But how do they know, because they don't know what the Truth really says. God says that if we continue in His Word then we will know the Truth. How can a person continue in God's Word if they don't know what God's Word says. Ultimately what will cause people to be damned to hell?… Believing the Devil’s lies. Believing a lie will lead to the same place that the liar (Devil) will go…. Lake of fire.
Consider what happened during Noah’s time. The people sinned against God. And the Devil deceived the people by causing them to believe that they were okay and that Noah was crazy for obeying God's Word. Consider what happened. God said that he was going to send a flood to cleanse the face of the earth of it’s sin. It has been calculated by some historians that the population of the earth at the time of Noah may possibly have been in the billions. What if it were only a hundred million. Noah preached to the people and warned them of the impending judgment of God. But they did not listen. Maybe those people thought “we are good people, we are only doing what everyone else is doing.” "Surely God wont destroy all of us." Consider what happened. When God sent the flood to cover the earth, many were not saved. Out of hundreds of millions of people (possibly even billions of people), only eight people, Noah and his family were saved. Jesus said that as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the final days.
1 Peter 3
18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Matthew 24:37
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The Truth (God’s Word) is that many are called but few chosen. The Truth (God’s Word) is that wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many will go in…. but strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life and few will find it (Seek and you will find). The Truth is that only a remnant will be saved.
Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.
Matthew 7: 13-14
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Romans 9:27
Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Many people, even "self-professed Christians", would rather listen to and believe the Devil’s lies and deceptions instead of reading and studying to see what the Truth (God’s Word) really says. People would rather believe what a "religious leader" says instead of what God says. People would rather believe man's philosophies and opinions instead of God's Word. God has told us what we need to do to be saved. The question now is, “Will we listen and obey?”

Please don’t take my word for any of this. In fact, don’t take anyone’s word for it. God’s Word says to consider all men to be liars but let God be true. Read the entire Bible for yourself and ask God what is the Truth. The Truth is right in front of us in black and white… “It is written”…The question is, do we know what “is written” ?
Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Revelations 22
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
We are admonished of God not to believe everything that is told to us, no matter who says it. God warns us in His Word not to believe every spirit that comes our way. Because Satan is a liar and deceiver, he could appear to you as an angel of God. We must know and continue in God’s Truth (His Word) so that we can, by God’s Spirit (His Word), discern what is true and what is false. We are commanded to “continue” in His Word and then we will know the Truth (God’s Word is Truth).
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Romans 12
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
John 8:31 - 32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
The Devil is the accuser of the brethren. If a person listens to the Devil’s accusations then they are deceived. Why would you be so eager to believe a lie about the brethren than to believe the Truth? God says that a wicked doer listens and takes heed to lies.
Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Proverbs 17:4
A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
And who are the True brethren?
Matthew 12
47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Romans 3:4

The heart is deceitful above all things and desparately wicked. If someone bases their thoughts, words, actions, or salvation on their heart or how they feel and not on the Truth (God's Word) then they are deceived and will perish unless they repent and obey the Truth(God's Word). People who are led by their heart will always be deceived.
Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

26He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
They that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. To be led by the Spirit of God is to be led by His Word. Because God’s Word is spirit and life. If we don’t know what God’s Word says, how can we be led by it? How do we know if what we think, say, or do is according to God’s Word if we don’t know what God’s Word says?
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
John 6:63
