What must I do to be saved?
†Believe in Yeshua (Jesus)
†Repent of your sins
†Be baptized in the name of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) for the remission (washing away) of your sins
†Receive the Holy Spirit – Be converted
†Continue in Yahuah's (God’s) Word
†Endure to the end.
As Above, So Below
Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
God’s word teaches us that we must believe in Jesus (Yeshua), repent of our sins, be baptized according to his word, receive his Holy Spirit, continue in his word, and endure to the end in order to be saved. When I ask someone if they believe that the Bible is God’s Word and if they believe that all of God’s word is the truth, they most often than not say, “Yes, I believe in the truth of the Bible.”
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Matthew 18:4
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
God’s word tells us that we are saved by grace, saved by hope, saved by faith, saved by belief, saved by mercy, saved by calling on the name of the Lord, saved by baptism, saved by receiving the Holy Spirit - conversion, and saved by enduring to the end. One of these elements alone cannot save us. We are not saved by just one part or one verse of the Bible. The entire word of God is what saves us.
John 12:48
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
When someone asks me, “Do you believe that we are saved by belief?”, I must reply “Yes” because it is clearly written in the Bible that we are saved by belief.
Acts 16:30-34
30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

When someone asks me, “Do you believe that works are an important part of salvation?”, I must reply “Yes” because it is clearly written in the Bible that works are important. We are not saved by doing good works. But we do good works because we are saved.

When someone asks me, “Do you believe that we are saved by continuing in God’s Word?”, I must reply “Yes” because it is clearly written in the Bible that we are saved by continuing in God’s Word.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
When someone asks me, “Do you believe that we are saved by enduring to the end?”, I must reply “Yes” because it is clearly written in the Bible that we are saved by enduring to the end.
Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Revelation 2:10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

But when I turn around and ask that same person, “Do you believe we are saved by baptism?”, how can they say “No” when it is clearly written in black and white in the Bible that we are saved by baptism as well. Baptism is God's instruction for people to have their sins washed away or remitted. Without baptism a person's sins are still present, according to God's word. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that baptism is for "an outward sign of an inward change".
Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
1 Peter 3
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

When someone asks me, “Do you believe that we are saved by praying the "prayer of faith and asking Jesus to come into our hearts"?”, I must reply “NO” because nowhere in the Bible is it written that if you “Pray a prayer of Faith and ask Jesus to come into your heart” you will be saved. There is nothing wrong with a prayer of faith as long as it is also accompanied by grace, hope, belief, mercy, calling on the name of the Lord, baptism in Jesus’ name, receiving the Holy Spirit, continuing in God’s Word, and enduring to the end.
We are saved by having all of these elements. It is very easy to create a belief based on one verse in the Bible. But salvation is not based on one or a few verses. Salvation is based on the “Entire” word of God. We do not have to create our own interpretations of the Bible. The Bible will interpret itself with itself. We are going to be judged by God’s word, not by man’s interpretation of God’s word not by what our Pastor or Priest believes, and not by what our church doctrine says.
John 12:48
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
God’s word tells us that we are saved by grace, saved by hope, saved by faith, saved by belief, saved by mercy, saved by calling on the name of the Lord, saved by baptism, saved by receiving the Holy Spirit - conversion, and saved by enduring to the end. If only belief in Jesus is necessary for Salvation, then why weren't the "Christians" in Matthew 7 saved? They obviously believed in Jesus and even called upon Him saying, "Lord, Lord". Yet, Jesus called them "workers of iniquity" and cast them into outer darkness. But, what is a "worker of iniquity"? We know that iniquity is sin. God teaches us that whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Romans 14:23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Then, where is faith? God teaches us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God.
Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So, faith comes through the Word of God. The "workers of iniquity" were doing works (trying to establish their own righteousness instead of abiding in God's righteousness), but not according to God's Word.
Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Matthew 7
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
If God is going to judge everyone by His Word, then, wouldn't it be vitally important that what we believe and live by can be shown in his word?
John 12:48
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
I would like to be saved. So, can someone please show me in the Bible where it states that all I need to do to be saved is to "Pray a prayer of faith and receive Jesus into my heart."

Please don’t take my word for any of this. In fact, don’t take anyone’s word for it. God’s Word says to consider all men to be liars but let God be true. Read the entire Bible for yourself and ask God what is the Truth. The Truth is right in front of us in black and white… “It is written”...The question is, do we know what “is written” ?
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Revelations 22
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We are admonished of God not to believe everything that is told to us, no matter who says it. God warns us in His Word not to believe every spirit that comes our way. Because Satan is a liar and deceiver, he could appear to you as an angel of God. We must know and continue in God’s Truth (His Word) so that we can, by God’s Spirit (His Word), discern what is true and what is false. We are commanded to “continue” in His Word and then we will know the Truth (God’s Word is Truth).
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Romans 12
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
John 8:31 - 32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Salvation Summary
Yahuah (God) created the heavens and the earth. Yahuah created all the creatures including man and woman, Adam and Eve, to live with Yahuah in the paradise of the Garden of Eden. Man and woman were given “Free Will” to choose between good and evil, right and wrong. In the garden, the Devil tempted Eve; and she and Adam sinned against Yahuah. Their sin caused their separation from Yahuah and paradise and brought the curse of death upon all mankind.
Since that time, man and woman still have free will to choose between good and evil, right and wrong. Since everyone has sinned at one time or another, everyone is still separated from Yahuah and paradise. But, Yahuah loves his creation and wants his creation to be reconciled to Him. As above so below, in order for mankind to be reconciled to Him, Yahuah had to come to earth in the form of a man, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ, in order to teach mankind the way of reconciliation, salvation, and to offer Himself up as the unblemished and pure sacrifice on the cross for the remission of the sins of the entire world. So, Yeshua was crucified on the cross, died, and was buried. On the third day, Yeshua was raised from the dead to conquer sin and death and to provide the way for all mankind to once again be reconciled to Yahuah to live with Him in paradise for eternity. This way of reconciliation is offered to all mankind. And with free will, all who choose to acknowledge Yeshua HaMashiach as Lord and Savior of the world and choose to obey His word will be reconciled to Yahuah and can enter into paradise to live with Him forever.
